We have some beautiful weather this weekend–80 on Sunday! The last hot Easter was at least three years ago, I think. Looking forward to some family time, and a big delicious dinner. (I think I’m doing the same food as last year; it was so good.) Nathaniel’s birthday is also on Sunday so we’re celebrating that too. And Lindsey is making an apple pie!
Some weekend reading…

Trench coats are something of a closet workhorse, I think. They sort of add the finishing, classy touch to an outfit, whether it be jeans and high tops, or a midi skirt and clogs. Evidence above and below!
I really enjoy wine but know almost nothing about it. How to describe it? What notes it has? Is it dry, is it fruity or floral? What do I serve with fish? With steak? What time of year do you drink a rosé? What is the real difference between Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon? Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay? Enter:
water! no doubt we all need more than we’re getting. my mom’s pretty certain that health begins here (and ends with no sugar–which is the devil himself if you’re her) as water is constantly cleansing your body aiming to prevent various ailments that can get you down. for about two months, i’ve been way more aware of my water intake, keeping my giant mason jar on me as i move throughout the house, or carrying water with me when i leave. i’ve sort of always done the latter, but constant sipping throughout the day isn’t something i’ve been as good at. so, here’s some of my tips, and then some of the things i’ve been adding to my water to make it pack an even greater punch.

For the annual easter egg decorating! It’s the only time of year that I buy white eggs. I know there’s a million and one pins that show them decorated with spices, with chalk, with paint, with fancy marbling, taupe eggs, robin’s egg blue eggs, tumeric-flavored-painted-with-bristles-from-the-hair-of-the-underbelly-of-a-Nepalese-goat eggs, but I just went, like I always do, with white eggs and your run of the mill color tablets. I just can’t quit the standard. No, it has nothing to do with it being the easiest. (Wink face.)
1// Big Little Lies. Yeah, me and every other women in America. But seriously. At first I thought some of the characters were a little cheesy (as well as the flash forwards with people talking about “the event”) but then I got into it hook, line, sinker. So bummed that it’s over. For those not familiar, it’s a six-episode miniseries based on
I asked a few weeks back on IG stories for any Q&A type questions, and the vast majority were, “how are the older kids?” So here’s that post that will evolve into the sharing of one of my clutch weeknight soups. Kids and soup, soup and kids–two of the most significant parts of my life, probably.

Shake Shack got in touch with me a few weeks ago about working together and I was like, “This is my moment. I have arrived.” Just kidding, but it was definitely a natural fit. We love burgers, we love Shake Shack, and we love Boston. Where do we sign up? (The answer: through an email correspondence with the coordinator.)
