01. My not-so-big dilemma of wanting my hair to air dry but not necessarily having the time to let it air dry (never mind–winter in New England does not lend itself to wet heads outside) before I have to go somewhere was just solved with this contraption. I don’t usually full air dry it with it, but get it about halfway to completion. Tip head upside down, and scrunch. I use this spray first usually.
02. Me Undies. Steve bought me a few pairs for Valentine’s Day and they’re the most comfortable underwear I’ve ever worn. I can’t go back to other pairs. The boy shorts are probably my favorite. I also love the t-back bralette. Softest cotton, fits just right. Not sponsored.
03. Handmaid’s Tale is back. Goodness gracious is that one intense, thought-provoking, emotions-inducing, well-done, mind-blowing show. Do you watch?! We share a Hulu with my parents. Highly recommend that if you don’t want yet another monthly charge (who does?). I was already tearing up a few minutes into Season 2, Episode 1.
04. The new Donovan Woods album. I just started playing it while making dinner the other day and I liked it a lot. If you haven’t heard him, but like the sort of quiet, folksy, rich voice music, he might be right up your alley.
05. This new lipstick in 9 to 5. It’s my favorite new color. You can see it on over here in the highlights. If you’re thinking about placing a Beautycounter order, I’m sending a new lipstick (your choice of color and of the sheers or the color intense line) to orders over $50 placed between now and May 1. Message me if you have questions about what might work best for your skin type. And if you’re one of those orders, email me with your pick!
Above picture from a recent day in Exeter, NH. The fact that Anders has had a Transformer of one kind or another in his hand for about 4 weeks straight is another favorite thing right now. We’ll call it number 06, but it really beats out all the rest.

We’re coming out of hibernation, truly, I feel it. When I’m at a playdate, suddenly my friend and I are pulling out our phones and bookmarking different restaurants that lend themselves to visits in the springier weather. I’m putting my finger in the air each and every morning and determining whether the windows can be open a crack–maybe even flung open as wide as they go. I made turkey and cheese paninis on sourdough (a win not only because paninis are delicious but also because having a certain three year old say “panini” it turns out is very, very cute) and the boys and I ate them on the deck in the sun. All that to say, the long awaited spring seems to have finally arrived and I think I can say confidently, we’ve seen the last snow. (Now I’ve gone and done it; probably jinxed it.)
Last week after swim lessons–burgers! Steve met us there after work and, having been separate for a whole work day, Parker couldn’t get enough of him. They are pretty much cuddling 90% of the time when Steve is not moving in the house. What are your plans this weekend? I’m going to discover Newport, Rhode Island (for the first time)!
Marathon Monday just passed, and I had a friend running it. I hoped the weather would cooperate–Boston is so gorgeous in the spring! I’d love to have stood out there, having found a promising spot, cheering her on enthusiastically and probably crying too. But alas and alack, it had other plans. Deluge would describe those plans. Cold, driving rain. Wind. Would the tourists stay away? Would they be inside the bars taking shots to stay warm and popping out every now and again to cheer on some of their beloved runners? I think the energy is so contagious on that magical day, though, that even the rain can’t dampen it. In fact, the rain may have even been viewed as an adversary. And against a common enemy, energy was only more ebullient. Runners’ high even higher. Tears flowing but who could tell them from the downpour?
An Easter Sunday with some sun is about all I ask for. As you know (seriously, on behalf of all of us in our winter-half-the-year climates, my apologies. I know that you know this has been a long winter and an absent-so-far spring. Sorry we’re talking about it… ad nauseum.) we’ve been wearing some version of a parka, in varying degrees of warmth, for what feels like an eternity. I just wanted some sun on Easter. And sun we got. An Easter gift, indeed.
What are you doing this weekend? We’re watching… GREATEST SHOWMAN TONIGHT!!! And today I’m bringing William to get his wisdom teeth out… oof. Soft foods and a movie night–we’re all set. I would love to get some bike riding in and maybe lunch outside somewhere too. The weather is so mild right now! This picture is from last week, when Anders and I were making
I’ve written about my
Thinking about seeing A Wrinkle In Time this weekend with Lindsey. Anyone seen it? Like it? And then, Parker’s spring sports begin! Too bad the weather is not following suit yet. It’s so cold! What are you up to?
