{parker's leggings: c/o doodle pants via mini social}
and psst! they're on flash-sale there today!
the boys did some snowman building a few weeks ago. i suspect william pulled most of the weight there while parker meandered about... perhaps eating snow (steve taught him how to, thanks steve!). i bought apple cider donuts and promptly ate two of them. had to rip my right hand off a third by using my left hand. life of its own, that right hand. i read this book in about two seconds flat last week which is troubling since i have a toddler who only sleeps for about 2 hours a day. when did i read it, you ask? while he tinkered about. really, he was left to his own devices. it left me feeling a bit guilty, i'll admit, and determined not to pick up a book so good that i can't put it down until parker grows up a bit. nathaniel was home for a bit, which was sweet, because he and parker played most of the time and parker warmed up to him right away. oh, and what else is getting me through these last bits of cold weather until spring shows itself (which it's going to do! promptly when the season turns!): grilled cheese and tomato soup (another thing that makes me question how much of a true 'foodie' i really am? i prefer american cheese. not gruyere, not cheddar, no... the grossest american cheese makes the bestest grilled cheese.). and what else? oh, daffodil plants. you pretty things you. and, unlike their shorn sister, the blooms keep comin'. get one!

I am cracking up in the gif of Parker up there. In the 2nd photo he is totally prancing like a tiny lil fox. So cute about Nathaniel.
ReplyDeletethat photo of P with Steve....ugh. gave me the warm and fuzzies. and gone girl...omg. couldnt put it down. read it in a day. i couldnt think or see straight for days. and american cheese..always the best for grilled cheese. ALWAYS

ReplyDeleteand love those pants with the fox on the bum! super cute!
Anyone who is being honest knows that american cheese is the only way to go for a grilled cheese (or cheeseburger for that matter)! it just melts better.
ReplyDeleteI love those Pants on Parker so Adorable! I must say though I was let down by that book Gone girl the way it ended it was a great story until the end, I was disappointed!
ReplyDelete@carimarie, i know... but i wondered... how COULD it have ended. i mean, of course, him leaving her would've been satisfying but i feel like she had to get him in the end.. ya know? maybe there'll be gone girl 2 :)
ReplyDeleteCute little fox butt!!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of Gone Girl? I had a hard time getting into it.
@alice, LOVED it. the second half, in particular, i flew through. so keep trying!
ReplyDeleteI love how Parker always has a closed mouth smile, even when he is smiling big. So. cute.
ReplyDeletei just read that book too. in about 2 seconds flat.
ReplyDeleteriveting... in so many ways.

I love those leggings on Parker! I kinda want some for myself. and also some of your donuts. thanks.
ReplyDeletealso, I don't know what's happening, but I've been having problems loading your site lately! every time it finally finishes loading the page just refreshes! it's probably something to do with my computer, as I've been having a lot of problems with my internet browser being crazy and problematic lately, but I just figured I'd mention it in case anyone else is having this same issue.
I could so eat two of those donuts from breakfast this morning! Parker & Steve look so alike in that photo by the way!

yes to american cheese on grilled cheese. And I like mind on white bread, too. YUM.
I need to find a place by me that sells those types of donuts. Are they local? Or might I be so lucky to find them at a nearby grocery store?
Love the pic of Steve and Parker. Love his little squinchy smile!
@anna, you might just have to come here to get some of these donuts! (and they're not all created equal... some places don't coat them in cinnamon and sugar... and while i'm a healthy gal, here is where i say pass the sugar)
