parker's first guitar lesson went swimmingly! alright, real story: we were all chilling in the bedroom and steve started strumming. he only knows a few chords, i know none. and what do you know, parker was fascinated. he studied the guitar and steve, steve and the guitar, and i ached with the sweetness of it all. i'm adding in the song because it's one of my very favorites, is mainly guitar, and i sing it to parker just about every night as he falls asleep. so, there it is. one of the many sweet, sweet moments i don't want to forget.

Isn't it awesome how they respond to music? My husband has a ton of guitars and our little girl loves running into his room to strum and look at and try to figure out the dials. It's so much fun to play and enjoy the time with them.

ReplyDeleteHe is SOOOOO cute!!!!! I just found out last week I'm having a son! I am over the moon excited! You (and Elizabeth from E-Tells-Tales) are two of my most favorite blogs to read---and I think your sons are absolutely adorable!!! So many people were like "Oh.....I was hoping you'd have a girl. They're so much more fun to dress and shop for." I didn't even let their words hurt me one bit. I just thought "Oh..these women are SOOOO misinformed because the baby boys on the blogs I read are SUPER cool and cute!" HAHA :) Thanks for posting these sweet pictures (and all the other ones you share with the blog world!)

ReplyDeletei love how he's looking at the guitar like "i have no idea what you are but i think i'm gonna like you."

ReplyDeleteI grew up with my dad singing John Denver songs to me all the time while he played the guitar. He passed on 5 years ago and I still love the music - like I can hear him singing. Music creates such a special bond between child and parent I think. I love this!!
