mother's day is a-comin'

This is not to suggest that my main man can't pick out a decent present for me himself, but it's always nice to have a little help, isn't it?  Though, I must say, funds are tight right about now. With almost every Hunt birthday having fallen in the last three weeks, gas prices (the most frustrating of all!), and baby-on-the-way purchases, I feel like all I should ask for are a few hugs, some nice attitudes, and a back rub.  I'm not whining.  Too much, anyway.  But maybe this list will help someone formulate theirs--someone who's got more cash dolla right about now.

  1. I think your list is great. especially for a young mom. My mom is coming to visit me a week after mom's day and my sister is flying in too. we are getting our nails done, and I'm going to take them out for brunch. it's not too often my mom gets her daughters together often these days since we all live thousands of miles apart. xo

  3. I have always wanted a flip camera! If I had kids I would claim it was for posterity sake, to record their lives with the touch of a button.

  4. I've been wanting a flip camera for foreverrr. Great choice!

For Mother's Day this year, I'm buying my mother Ronald Reagan paraphernalia. Ha. But seriously.

  12. no, you should have someone get you a flipcam so they can record your birth. you know, like really record it. and then you can blog it. you know?

  13. Yep, like all others, I am diggin' on those slips. Guess I'll have to check them out. Hope you get all of these goodies--all I got for my first/soon-to-be-a Mother's Day gift was chocolate....which I won't complain about (but guess I kinda just did??). ;)

  15. 1. thought i'd number my points. cause we used to when we emailed.
    2. i hope you get em ALL.
    3. If you don't... you should bring your old slippers to someones house who has a dog... put some kind of greasy, yummy gook that dogs love smeared all over them... and then "take them off" in front of the dog. OOPS! Dog ate slippers! Owners will feel so bad... they will get you NEW ones.
    4. house showing went good. ill email you the deets.
    5. I just used the word "deets".
    6. our car ride home the other day just wasnt enough.

  16. YOU AND YOUR NEWBORN NEED A FLIP. thats all there is too. he will only be tiny with scrunchy skin and doing brand new newborn yawns and sneezes for so long and you want video of that.

  20. LOVE that teapot. I'm not a mom, but can I ask for one too?

I'm getting my friend (who is a very recent mother) a polaroid camera for m-day so she can have instant snapshots of her little one.

    also. I have a thing for polaroids. it's a win-win.

  22. The slippers look so snuggly and comfy! It's always nice to know that someone actually wants something in particular, rather than just buying any old thing and hoping they'll like it.

    Congratulations on the baby-on-the-way :)
