Now, because of the steady rain, making and baking seemed like the thing to do. I don't do much of either of these (I'm not what you'd call a crafty Mom/lady/human). I'm more of a "go-make-your-own-fun-kids-and-use-your-imagination-and-put-down-the-friggin-Wii-control-before-I-smash-the-TV-in." But, alas... the aforementioned rain, so I made and baked (I wish that rhymed the way it does in the present tense). As I was saying... I maked and I baked.
(And I look like a total wanna-be-happy-baker-cheeseball-woman.
Forgive me, I hope you still think I'm cool, though why would you?)
Made for my friend Susan from my Etsy shop.
Have a nice Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteI Cried for Uganda
ReplyDeletei pretty thrilled with those cute etsy shop pictures...kinda makes me want a pair:)
ReplyDeletemm there's nothing quite like a little baking to make me feel quite accomplished.
ReplyDeleteok, you're making me a little nervous in that picture because it looks like your right hand isn't really holding on to the dish!!!! i'm crazy :) but it looks delish.
ReplyDeleteYou're still cool in my book-
ReplyDeleteespecially cuz' you write things like "maked and baked" and "go-make-your-own-fun-kids-and-use-your-imagination-and-put-down-the-friggin-Wii-control-before-I-smash-the-TV-in."
... and I thought I was the only mom left on the planet who told her kids that same thing. So, I guess, I'm cool too:).
I'm so glad you commented on my blog, because then I got to find yours!
ReplyDeleteYou're adorable, and those look ridiculously good. ;)
torrie- you are NOT the only mom who says that... but there's not many of us left. we need to stick together.
ReplyDeletehi guys! i hope to do more on etsy in the future so stay tuned.....
The rain will not stop! I found your blog through your comment on the bag on Twig and Thistle. What a great bag that was and what a wonderful blog you have!
ReplyDeletei wish i could make and bake.
ReplyDeletebut i'm kind of bad at it. not to mention, my making and baking attention span is about 3.5 seconds. the weird thing is... my mom is so talented everyone tells her she should open a bakery (she really should), and my dad can whip up the best homemade, out-of-this-world pizza of your LIFE or a plate of piping hot, melt-in-your-mouth cinnamon rolls before you can say "put down the friggin wii control!" and yet... here i am, the "not-a-single-making-or-baking-gene-in-her-body" daughter... who burns toast. damn.
Those canvases are super duper cute! Off to chk your etsy shop! I have one too and don't you just LOVE Etsy?!
ReplyDeleteohhh yum! the blueberry crumb cake looks delish
ReplyDeleteOh, that rain sounds sucky. But nice baking and making!
ReplyDeletethose look delish!!! we have to keep our hubbys happy and baking always helps :)
ReplyDeletewell this post was a hit. love the new work for the etsy shop. also, can you send me those blueberry crumb bars in the mail? i'll eat them all. they look that good.
ReplyDeleteAnd WHY exactly did you not bring those blueberry crumb bars last night?! Unacceptable.
ReplyDeletePS - love the birds.
Those pictures at the end are super cute!
ReplyDeleteI love rainy days, perfect for snuggling up to the loved one.
