  6. rick steves. when ben and i were in italy in 2008 we actually saw rick there. he is legit and up to date. he's cheesy, but great :) i'm so excited for you!!!

    he also has free podcasts that you can download about certain cities with walking tours!

  15. LOVE Rick Steves! Eliz and I used them when we went to Europe and LOVED them...he has the best "do it yourself" exploring/walking tours of places! When are you going??

  16. Yep, Rick! Fodors has great forums for finding opinions--lots of active readers on their site. But Rick give really directed, specific advice. He also keeps budgets in mind and usually has great walking tours. He does love his art--so sometimes I have to put him away when I've had enough museums. I wish he had guides for non-European trips!
